Amendment No. 1 was offered by Representatives Scalzi, Lancaster, Stevens, Bunde, Chenault, and Kohring: Page 3, lines 23 - 30: Delete all material. 2002-04-11 House Journal Page 2887 Renumber the following bill sections accordingly. Page 7, line 6: Delete "13(b), and 14(a)" Insert "12(b), and 13(a)" Representative Scalzi moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 1 be adopted. Representative Mulder objected. Representative Hudson moved and asked unanimous consent that he be allowed to abstain from voting due to a conflict of interest. Objection was heard, and Representative Hudson was required to vote. The question being: "Shall Amendment No. 1 be adopted?" The roll was taken with the following result: HCS CSSB 291(FIN) Second Reading Amendment No. 1 YEAS: 20 NAYS: 16 EXCUSED: 4 ABSENT: 0 Yeas: Berkowitz, Bunde, Chenault, Cissna, Coghill, Croft, Dyson, Guess, Halcro, Hudson, Joule, Kohring, Lancaster, Morgan, Moses, Murkowski, Rokeberg, Scalzi, Stevens, Wilson Nays: Crawford, Davies, Harris, Hayes, James, Kapsner, Kerttula, Kookesh, Kott, Masek, McGuire, Meyer, Mulder, Porter, Whitaker, Williams Excused: Fate, Foster, Green, Ogan Hayes changed from "Yea" to "Nay". Kohring changed from "Nay" to "Yea". Davies changed from "Yea" to "Nay". And so, Amendment No. 1 was adopted. Amendment No. 2 was offered by Representative Croft: 2002-04-11 House Journal Page 2888 Page 7, following line 3: Insert a new subsection to read: "(c) The sum of $16,900,000 is appropriated to the University of Alaska for the period April 1, 2002, through June 30, 2003." Representative Croft moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 2 be adopted. Representative Mulder objected. Amendment to Amendment No. 2 was offered by Representative Whitaker: Delete "16,900,000" Insert "6,000,000" Representative Whitaker moved and asked unanimous consent that that Amendment to Amendment No. 2 be adopted. Objection was heard and withdrawn. There being no further objection, Amendment to Amendment No. 2 was adopted.
